Counseling Services

Offering counseling services to adults, children, adolescents, and couples

  • Adults

My approach with individual adults is client-centered, identifying your strengths and allowing those to play a critical role in the work we do together. I operate from the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered, and Solution Focused to help each individual work towards the goals they have set for themselves.

Common presenting issues are, but not limited to:

-anxiety, depression and other mood disruptions

    -low self-esteem

    -adjustment

    -trauma history

    -relationship issues

    -grief

    -stress management

  • Children & Adolescents

When working with children and adolescents, I find it critical to have an understanding of the environment at home, how the family system operates, their developmental level and how they do at school in order to have a full picture of their world. Parents must be willing to play a role in their child’s treatment. I will meet initially with the caregiver(s) to gather necessary information about the client, and will then have parent meetings every 4-6 sessions, or at my discretion. Parent sessions allow you to be part of your child’s healing and learn tools to utilize at home. I utilize evidence-based treatments to meet your child where they are and offer them tools for healing.

Common presenting issues are, but not limited to:

-anxiety, depression, and other mood disruptions

-difficulty at school (behavioral issues, academic issues, etc.)

    -difficulty with obedience

    -grief

    -bullying

    -adjustment to life changes

  • Couples

My approach when working with couples is strength-based. In identifying the specific strengths of each individual, we are then able to use those as building blocks to work through what is currently impacting your relationship and deepening the connection between you and your partner. I offer pre-marital counseling to couples wanting help in laying a firm foundation prior to marriage, specifically utilizing the Prepare/Enrich assessment.

Common presenting issues are, but not limited to:

    -difficulty communicating

    -parenting issues

    -co-parenting

    -infidelity

    -intimacy issues

    -grief

    -trauma history
